The Mangrove Maiden was a pitch I developed for my senior thesis film.  While the film was not ultimately greenlit, I still made plenty of art to show my proof of concept and this was the first!

The goal of this teaser image was to show my character, my setting, and a hint of the story.  I put a lot of effort into the colors to clearly show the heat of the upper world and the coolness of the world below--with that floating bread as a mysterious, alien presence in this tranquil world.
